Timberland's Original Yellow Boot became recognizable because of its shape, wheat-colored construction, rugged character, and connection to outdoor life. The story began in New England, where Nathan Swartz and his family developed waterproof footwear for demanding conditions. The Original Timberland 8-Inch Boot arrived in 1973 and the 6-Inch version followed three years later, establishing a design that remains central to the brand today.

Timberland's modern collection retains that heritage while expanding into a much wider footwear and lifestyle offering.
